What is a “Spark” and why do you need it?

A spark can be a lot of things, but in social media short form video on platforms like instagram, youtube shorts and of course, TikTok, a spark kicks everything off. It’s the opening part of your script that’s compelling enough to grab the viewer’s attention so they pause and watch your content.

Why do Sparks Matter?

Studying sparks is a shortcut to putting your audience’s needs first.

I’ve done this the WRONG way for years. The HARD way. For most people, the hard way involves a total re-orientation of how people understand communication. A true 180 degree flip from how we’ve approached it our entire lives. I’m obsessed with the philosophy of communication, so I couldn’t avoid that rabbit hole.

But YOU can - so you can focus on what’s important - using your gifts to help people on their healing journey.

What’s the Problem?

Most people in the helping professions have a compound problem with their marketing.

  1. They help a lot of different people with a lot of different problems and so naming a singular problem that they help feels like they’re leaving people out.

  2. They’re experts in their modality and that’s their focus - but few have done the work to translate their modality and communicate it in a way that their audience sees and believes they can live a better life because of it.

  3. Many are just plainly uncomfortable selling a promise of an outcome.

You don’t need to undo any of this thinking to move forward, you just have to engage in a different process. Creating a great spark!

From there, you can watch your ideal audience start responding to your social media in ways they haven’t before - without compromising your authenticity.

If this made you think - “I don’t have time for all this,” you’re not alone.

That’s exactly why I built Waitlist Engine. Book a 30-minute consult and we’ll walk through a simple plan.
